Through our Printing.com franchise we can offer creative solutions for graphic design and print – this case study looks at an example of a rebranding project that we have handled. Orchard Materials are a metal management firm based in Bristol. They approached us towards the end of last year when they were looking to boost their marketing and get some assistance with finding and winning new business. Since then we have worked with them on a 12 month project that is now reaching the advanced stages.
The project we are delivering for Orchard Materials is benefiting them because it has been broken down into key phases. Too many companies invest time and effort in marketing but see little return because they have not properly planned for who they should be communicating with, when, and by what method.
Phase 1 was to profile the ideal customer for them and gain some focus on the market place. It was essential to have this knowledge before starting the marketing communications. The next 2 phases provided Orchard with a populated database of prospective customers, and planned the strategy for their marketing campaigns and the key messages that would help them position themselves.
Phases 4 and 5 have provided Orchard with the tangibles that people tend to associate with marketing. We have built a new website for them, managed the images, and written the content. We have created literature including a new Corporate folder with a modern and fresh image for 2007. We are now building templates for their e-mail communication and their presentations. We are also producing their monthly marketing campaigns including their direct marketing and newsletters.
We assist our clients with small pieces of work to win new business up to complete outsourcing of their marketing, as we have in this instance, allowing Orchard to concentrate on what they do best. Projects like this work well because of the understanding we bring regarding the target, message, timing, media, and image - all this mixed together brings the return on investment.
The subject of branding was covered in a Knowledge Forum workshop that we hosted earlier this year. If you did not attend and would like a copy of the slides please register an enquiry here.
